Sacred Heart basketball blasts Hopkins 46-30

The Convent of the Sacred Heart basketball team exploded in the second half against Hopkins School and came away with the 46-30 victory Wednesday afternoon.

Emily O’Sullivan led the way for the Tigers, finishing with 25 points and pitched in with six rebounds. Not to be outdone was Claire O’Neill, as she netted nine points, nine steals and two blocks. LIlly O’Sullivan finished with two points and eight assists, while teammate Grace Passanante had a stellar all-around game by picking up six points,three steals and four rebounds.

For Hopkins Julia Bartimer contributed with eight points, while Emma Banks led the way for the team with 11 points.

With the victory, Sacred Heart upped its record to 5-4 overall and will be back in action tomorrow when they host Hamden Hall Country Day School at Brunswick School.
