The 2015 YWCA Greenwich Old Bags Luncheon Committee, numbering 72 at present, recently attended a kickoff party at the beautiful home of Co-Chair Alease Fisher Tallman to finalize planning for the event scheduled for Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the Belle Haven Club.

One of the most popular events in Greenwich and a sell out since its inception, the YWCA Old Bags Luncheon raises funds exclusively for YWCA Domestic Abuse Services. It features live and silent auctions of new designer handbags, new handbags and vintage bags, donated by designers, retailers and individuals.

For tickets, sponsorship, advertising opportunities, bag donations or to join the committee, contact Amanda Macedo at 203-869-6501, ext. 102 or [email protected] or go to Ywcagreenwich.org/events/benefits/old-bags-luncheon.

One in four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. YWCA Greenwich is the only agency licensed by the state to treat the thousands of victims of domestic violence in the community. This year alone YWCA Domestic Abuse Services will provide a wide range of 24/7 services, including two, 24/7 hot lines at 203-622-0003; crisis intervention; safety planning; shelter; adult, child and family counseling; court advocacy and community education.
