The Greenwich High School rugby team was well-represented during this year’s High School All-American Rugby Camp, as eight Cardinals traveled to Arizona last week.

Seniors Jack Freiheit, Michael McTiernan and Jack Weigold, juniors Luke Bienstock, Parker Kelly and Soh Nakayama and sophomore Patrick McTiernan and Ian Pearson all trained and competed in scrimmages at the Grande Sports Academy in Casa Grande, Ariz.

The HSAA invited 130 boys from across the country to participate in the camp, which serves as the final pool from which to choose who will make the High School All-American Rugby Team.

This year the HSAA will have events in Las Vegas, England, France, Belgium, and Argentina.
