Greenwich Symphony offers music scholarship

The Greenwich Symphony Orchestra is now accepting applications from high school senior gifted instrumental music students in Fairfield County for its 54th Annual Music Award.

A single prize of $1,000, or split prizes, will be awarded. The winner of the prestigious award will be honored on stage at the orchestra’s final concert of the 2014-2015 season, Sunday, April 19, 2015, in the Greenwich High School Auditorium.

Applicants must send a completed application form, postmarked no later than February 15, to Award Chairman, Greenwich Symphony Orchestra, P.O. Box 35, Greenwich, CT 06836. Qualified applicants will be notified before February 20 and will be invited to compete in auditions held in Greenwich in March.

Application forms are obtainable from the chairman of the music department in all secondary schools or by calling 203-637-1680.
