SeaFair docks tonight

For those seeking art in Greenwich Harbor, there’s good news. Their ship is coming in.

SeaFair will return from Sept. 20 to 23 for the second installment of Art Greenwich 2012. The floating art gallery will dock at the Delamar Greenwich Harbor at 500 Steamboat Road for a four-day contemporary art fair that promises “a dynamic and diverse array of contemporary art from the 20th and 21st century.”

The art will be paired with a program of lectures and social events during the course of the weekend and organizers say they are ready to unveil “… a bevy of surprises and ensure a comprehensive cultural experience for collectors.”

Galleries from all over the tri-state area will participate including Bendheim Gallery and Quester Gallery from Greenwich.

The public fair hours are from noon to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 to 22 and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23. The Sky Deck, SeaFair’s top deck bar featuring panoramic views of the Greenwich Harbor, will be open till 9 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for an advance-discounted price. Valet parking will be available in addition to complimentary parking in the city lot on Arch Street. In cooperation with Coast Guard guidelines, all attendees are required to show a photo ID upon entry to the fair.
