Local officials support Assault Crisis Center

Six top Fairfield County elected officials shared holiday cheer while supporting the Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling at the sixth annual Gingerbread Houses & Cocktails for a Cause event.

Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei, joined chief executives from other towns, including First Selectman Jim Marpe (Westport), First Selectwoman Jayme Stevenson (Darien), First Selectman Peter Tesei (Greenwich), Mayor David Martin (Stamford), Mayor Harry Rilling (Norwalk), First Selectwoman Gayle Weinstein (Weston, and on the center’s board of directors).

The event took place on Dec. 4 at the Country Club of Darien.

Proceeds from Gingerbread Houses & Cocktails for a Cause will go to The Center’s crisis counseling, advocacy and education programs. Serving the towns of Westport, Wilton, Weston, Darien, Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, and New Canaan, The Center provided crisis counseling to more than 450 people and prevention education to nearly 20,000 children and adults over the last year alone.
