Garden Education Center plans winter solstice walk

The community is invited to celebrate the first day of winter with special guest Denise Savageau, Greenwich Conservation Director, as she guides a winter solstice walk through the woods.

Participants are invited to explore the difference between conifer and deciduous trees, look for wildlife winter food sources and discover which birds stay year-round. In addition, visitors will learn about winter legends and traditions, the important role that winter plays in clean water and play trail games for all ages.

Pre-registration is requested; the cost is $10 per family. To gegister, go to Gecgreenwich.org. The Garden Education Center of Greenwich is located at 130 Bible Street.
