Greenwich resident and Millbrook School alum Molly Chapman ended her senior year playing field hockey at Denison University field hockey program in grand style.

With her outstanding play this past fall season, Chapman earned first-team National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) all-region recognition for the first time in her career.

Chapman was the Big Red’s primary scoring option off penalty corners, netting a team-high 11 goals while also tallying three assists and 71 shots. The first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) selection also tied for the team lead with two defensive saves.

On Nov. 22, Chapman played in the annual Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game in Lexington, Va.

Denison finished the season with a 13-7 record, earning a berth in the NCAC Tournament Championship game.

Denison University, founded in 1831, is an independent, residential liberal arts institution located in Granville, Ohio. Nearly one-fourth of Denison’s 2,100 full-time undergraduate students compete in one of Denison’s 23-varsity athletic programs. Denison is a member of NCAA Division III and the North Coast Athletic Conference.
