Brunswick hockey blasts Portledge School, 9-5


The Brunswick School ice hockey team got back to its winning ways Monday afternoon at the Hartong Rink by upending Portledge School 9-5.

In the victory, the Bruins scored five goals in the first period to set themselves up for success. Leading the way was Michael Faulkner, who finished with two goals. Christian LeSueur, Will Rogers, Nick VanBelle, Phillip Kent, Jack Stephenson, Patrick Burkinshaw and Matt Sealy each found the back of the net once for Brunswick, which upped its overall record to 4-1 on the season.

Picking up assists for the Bruins were Colin Slyne, Max Flud, Jack Stephenson, Tommy Dunleavy, Matt Holmes and Grey Owens. In net, Brunswick’s Matteo Esposito finished with 19 saves in the winning effort.
