Sacred Heart squash falls to Millbrook School at home 5-2

The Convent of the Sacred Heart squash team hosted Millbrook School Saturday afternoon. Missing two of the team’s top players and forcing the team to play two places higher, the Tigers fared well, but were defeated 5-2.

Sacred Heart’s winners came at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots. At No. 3, Isabella Libassi took care of Millbrook’s Lucy Marquez, winning 11-7, 11-5, 11-6. Not to be outdone was Haley Davis, who beat Iona Moir 11-5, 20-22, 11-9, 1103.

At No. 1, CSH’s Catherine Keating fell to Millbrook’s Heidi Reiss, 5-11, 8-11, 11-4, 8-11. Competing at No. 2, Millbrook’s Sophia Hartman beat Sacred Heart’s Olivia Monahan 11-4, 11-5, 11-4. No. 5 had Sacred Heart’s Haley Horn falling to Millbrook’s Caroline Reilly 7-11, 5-11, 6-11.

At No. 6 had Sacred Heart’s Sheila Moran fall to Millbrook’s Maggie Bromberg (3-11, 6-11, 11-9, 8-11), while Catherine Eagen lost to Millbrook’s Bailey Summes at No. 7 3-11, 12-14, 8-11.

On Monday, the Tigers will be back in action when they host Greens Farms Academy.
