Healthy eating talk at YMCA

Adding extra weight through overeating is always a concern and the YMCA of Greenwich will partner with Greenwich Hospital tomorrow, Dec. 5, for a special presentation on healthy eating during the holidays.

The presentation is designed to help inform the community about eating healthy during the holidays. Katrina Melei, the Bariatric Program coordinator at Greenwich Hospital, will lead the lecture from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the entire community and will take place at the YMCA at 50 East Putnam Avenue.

According to the YMCA, this lecture will allow you to “give the gift of good health to yourself and others this holiday season.” There will be focus on setting goals and planning ahead with food and fluid choices during home holidays, holidays away and all those parties.

“Keep the pounds off and enjoy the extra energy this season. Food patterns, recipes and ideas will be provided,” the YMCA said.
