Greenwich Scouting hosted their 28th Golf Tournament at the Round Hill Club in September and more than 90 golfers enjoyed a blue bird day.

After what was described as a spectacular round of golf, all guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner on the veranda and bid digitally on a terrific selection of silent and live auction items.

This year Perry Burns, a longtime Greenwich Scouting board member and past golf tournament chair was honored for almost 20 years of tournament involvement. As the Greenwich Council’s largest fundraiser of the year, the $100,000 raised will directly benefit the youth and operations of Greenwich Scouting.

Adventure, leadership, service and learning, especially in the outdoors, have remained essential to the Greenwich Scouting experience since its inception in 1912. Nearly 2,000 local youth participate in fun programs, run by 300 dedicated volunteers, all of which help prepare local boys and girls for life. With more than 18 partnering organizations and Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Exploring opportunities in Greenwich, there’s never been a better time to support the Scouting community.
