Christmas Carol onstage at Western Greenwich Civic Center

The Department of Parks and Recreation will be showing the play A Christmas Carol at the Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center on Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Tickets cost $5 per person. This program is specifically geared to children in kindergarten to sixth grades, and will be presented by the Hampstead Stage Company.

Based on the legendary novel by Charles Dickens it is the tale of the miser Ebenezer Scrooge. Through visits from the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas.

The Hampstead Stage Company was formed more than 25 years ago. It is named after the area of London from which the founders hail. It has grown into one of the largest national educational touring companies, which perform more than 2,000 shows a year, for more than 20 million audience members.
