St. Catherine’s Players to hold auditions for Seussical

Roles are available for adults, teens and children who must be at least eight years old or in third grade.

Come with a prepared song and sheet music for the accompanist. A group dance audition will be held each evening. In addition bring a list of your rehearsal and production date conflicts from January through March to write on your audition sheet for the director. Callbacks will be Thursday, Dec. 4.

One of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza that brings to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie LaBird, and a little boy with a big imagination, Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Seussical is fun for the whole family.

Rehearsals begin on Monday, Jan. 5 and are held Monday through Thursday evenings. Production dates are March 6, March 7, March 8, March 13, March 14 and March 15 with curtain times of Fridays at 8, Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Joe Guttadauro will direct, Rita Lapcevic will provide musical direction, David Durell will conduct the orchestra and Lauren Sherwood will choreograph. Wendy Blumenthal and Jody Breakell are the producers of St. Catherine’s Players.

Available roles include The Cat in the Hat, Horton The Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and more. A full list of the available roles, ensembles and their descriptions is available at Stcatherinesplayers.com/seussical auditions.
