International journalist and author Lisa Barr, writer of the award-winning, historical-fiction thriller Fugitive Colors (Arcade Publishing) will be speaking at a JCC Greenwich event at The Drawing Room, 5 Suburban Avenue in Cos Cob on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m.

Stolen art, love, lust, deception and revenge paint the pages of Lisa Barr’s debut novel, Fugitive Colors. Booklist calls the WWII era novel, “Masterfully conceived and crafted, Barr’s dazzling debut novel has it all: passion and jealousy, intrigue and danger.” Ms. Barr will talk about not only this new book but about her career as a writer as well.

Fugitive Colors, which recently won the IPPY (Independent Publishers Book Award) gold medal for Best Literary Fiction 2014, has been optioned for movie development by Hollywood producer Arthur Sarkissian (the force behind action/comedy Rush Hour trilogy and the Sandra Bullock comedy While You Were Sleeping), and won the first prize at the Hollywood Film Festival, the Opus Magnum Discovery Award.
