Arts Council concert highlights the Americas

The Greenwich Arts Council (GAC) will present “A Musical Journey Through the Americas” with internationally renowned pianist Polly Ferman on Friday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.

Ms. Ferman has been on the international concert tour circuit since her early twenties and has performed in major venues around the world in both solo and ensemble contexts. Early in her career she developed a particular specialty in the music of the Americas, from Argentina to Canada and she will bring that skill to her concert in Greenwich.

Ms. Ferman’s solo performances are highly regarded and she has been praised for “extraordinary technique and virtuoso accomplishment.”

For her Greenwich Arts Council performance, Ms. Ferman has selected an eclectic program which literally spans both American continents. Music will come from the U.S. as well as Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba.

The program is free and open to the public. No reservations are required but seating is limited to a first come basis.

The concert will be held on the second floor of the arts council, which is at 299 Greenwich Avenue and is handicap accessible.

For further information call the GAC office at 203-862-6750.
