St. Nick will make a special appearance at Splurge

Santa Claus is definitely coming to town and when he does, at an event at Splurge, 100% of proceeds will benefit Kids in Crisis.

According to the store, the man in the bright red suit will take time out of his busy schedule to visit downtown Greenwich on two occasions this November. On Friday, Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m., Santa Claus and his helper elf will stroll down Greenwich Avenue to delight children and invite families to his upcoming special appearance at Splurge.

Then on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Splurge will host photos with Santa. For a $10 donation to Kids in Crisis, professional photographer Cathy Wilson Ramin, who specializes in photographing children and families, will take a keepsake 4X6 photograph of families, children and/or pets with Santa.

Splurge owner Sonia Sotire Malloy commented, “For the second year in a row, I am thrilled to partner with Kids in Crisis to support their mission. One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will benefit the organization, which does an outstanding job of serving kids in need in our community and the surrounding areas. It is especially meaningful to me to assist Kids in Crisis at this time of year to ensure that the children they serve will experience joy this holiday season.”

Kids in Crisis Executive Director Shari Shapiro added, “We are so grateful for Splurge’s longtime support of Kids in Crisis. This holiday donation will greatly benefit the children staying at our emergency shelter, and will help make the holidays brighter.”

Additionally, each holiday season Splurge participates in selling boxed chocolates where 100% of proceeds benefit Kids in Crisis.

Splurge is open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call 203-869-7600 or email [email protected]
