It will be a day of fun and fashion, all to benefit a great cause at the 19th Annual Breast Cancer Alliance Luncheon & Fashion Show on Thursday, Nov. 6.

The theme for the show is “Branching out, Coming together, Aspiring to a cure” and it’s is one of the biggest events of the year for the Greenwich-based Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA). The BCA has awarded more than $19 million in grants since its founding in 1996 to fund innovative research, breast surgery fellowships, regional education and cancer screening and support for underserved communities. This event is the BCA’s primary fund-raiser.

The event is at the Hyatt Regency at 1800 East Putnam Avenue in Old Greenwich and the fun starts Nov. 6 with an 11 a.m. silent auction reception. At noon, Mike Greenberg, co-host of Mike & Mike on ESPN will be the guest speaker at the luncheon and then at 1:30 there will be the fashion show sponsored by Richards of Greenwich.

According to the BCA, this will showcase the best of  Brunello Cucinelli’s fall and spring collections, preceded by a Survivors Celebration Fashion Show with fall fashions from Richards of Greenwich modeled by inspiring breast cancer survivors. Additionally, Richards of Greenwich has edited Brunello Cucinelli’s spring collection specifically for the Greenwich market and will hold a full trunk show in its Greenwich Avenue store Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8.

Richards will donate a percentage of its sales of the designer’s apparel to the Breast Cancer Alliance.

The event, which is being co-chaired by Lisa Fisher and Jieun Wax, is expected to have more than 900 guests attending. Richards/Mitchells, as usual, is the lead sponsor, but others are lending a hand as well. Greenwich Hospital is the luncheon sponsor and PepsiCo will be the beverage sponsor. The Invitation sponsor is Shreve, Crump & Low, the runway sponsor is Brunello Cucinelli, the decorations sponsor is Stamford Hospital and Kekst & Company, McArdle’s Florist and Garden Center and Williams & Co. are all additional sponsors.

Items at the silent auction include a two-night stay in a premier signature suite at The Ocean House, complete with 360º view of the ocean and fireplace; two tickets to the Fall/Winter 2015 Fashion Presentation in New York with round-trip care service and an iconic boxer bag and an afternoon picnic or sunset cruise for six on the luxurious Hinckley Picnic Boat, among other treasures. Live auction offerings include a year’s worth of shoes from Richards of Greenwich valued at $10,000 as well as a $10,000 gift certificate for a shopping spree at Greenwich Avenue’s newest retailer, Shreve, Crump and Low.

Tickets are still available and range from $350 to $2,000. Tables are available from $5,000 to $50,000.
