Over a wet and soggy Columbus Day weekend, Shoreline FC, a Greenwich-based Shoreline FC traveled to Long Island for competition in the Northport Columbus Weekend Tournament.

The tourney is the largest Columbus weekend tournament in the Northeast. Both boys and girls teams as young as U-8 through U-14 competed with the best from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Some of those younger Shoreline FC teams were formed earlier this fall.

For Shoreline FC, the Columbus weekend tournament was a dream come true. The program had four tournament champions, as the Boys U-9 Chelsea, Girls U-10 Bobcats, Boys U-10 PSG and the Boys U-12 Porto all struck gold in Long Island.
