Saluting America

The Mary Bush Society, Children of the American Revolution (CAR), co-sponsored the Independence Day Celebration on July 4. The annual event drew close to 1000 Greenwich residents to the Town Hall, to raise and salute the first American flag, parade the flags of the original thirteen colonies, sing patriotic songs, read passages from the Declaration of Independence, honor the Greenwich citizens who fought and died in the Revolutionary War, and to present Good Citizen Awards to deserving young people.
