New series focuses on living well

Live Well, a free six-week workshop series will be offered at The Greens at Greenwich on Tuesdays, Sept. 11, 18, 25, and Oct. 2, 9, 16 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Live Well is a nationwide evidence-based health promotion program developed by Stanford University and is designed for adults 60-year-old and older with ongoing health conditions like diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, asthma, cancer, depression, anxiety and other chronic pain. The workshop series is also offered for caregivers.

Workshops are highly interactive and facilitated by two specially trained leaders. New topics are covered each week and provide opportunities for interaction and group problem solving.

The Live Well workshop series is free and open to the public. To register, call 203-814-3620.

Live Well is sponsored by Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging, the Department Of Public Health, and the Department of Social Services, Aging Services Division.
