The Musicians from Marlboro are returning to Greenwich Library for an Oct. 12 concert.

The Friends Cole Concert Series is pleased to welcome back the popular Musicians from Marlboro touring program on Sunday, Oct. 12, at 4 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium.

Now celebrating its 49th season, the acclaimed touring program offers not only joyous performances featuring unusual repertoire, but also invaluable experience to emerging artists.

The first east coast tour of the fall season offers a program with a wonderful mix of unique chamber works typical of Musicians from Marlboro tours. There’s the haunting Debussy Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, Beethoven’s String Quintet in C and Kurtág’s Officium breve in memoriam Andreæ Szervánszky for string quartet around which the program was built after a stunning performance in Vermont.

Artists include David McCarroll on violin, Nikki Chooi on violin, Kim Kashkashian on viola, Wenting Kang on viola, Karen Ouzounian on cello, Marina Piccinini on flute and Sivan Magen on harp.

The Friends Cole Concert Series is made possible through the support of the Sylvia and Leonard Marx Foundation and the Friends of Greenwich Library. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
