Israeli violinist to visit Temple Sholom

Barak Shossberger will perform at a special Shabbat service on Friday.

On Friday, Oct. 10 at 6:30 p.m., Temple Sholom will welcome Israeli Violinist, Barak Shossberger for a very special musical Shabbat service.

Mr. Shossberger was born in Tel-Aviv and is currently a student of Masao Kawasaki at the Julliard School in New York City. Mr. Shossberger started his violin studies at the age of 9 with Shlomo Tintpulver at the Israeli Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv and received his Bachelor of Music from the Jerusalem Academy. He will soon receive his Masters of Music from the same institute, both as a student of Michael Gaisler.

Mr. Shossberger has performed live on the Israeli radio and served for 3 years in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician. This special musical shabbat performance is the result of a partnership between Temple Sholom and American Israel Cultural Foundation.

Guests are encouraged to stay after for the congregational dinner in the Sukkah.
