Brunswick water polo blasts Williston Northampton, Loomis Chaffee

The Brunswick water polo team added two more victories to its record on Saturday by taking care of Loomis Chaffee School 16-10 and Williston Northampton 23-9.

Against Loomis, the Bruins pulled away in the second half, outscoring its opponents 7-1.

Leading the way was Will Marvin, Paty Stefanou and Jack Muccia, as they each picked up the hat trick. Alex Prout and Matt Marvin grabbed two goals each, while James Grabruth, Simon Derby and Grant Pierce got one goal each.

In net, Charlie Pang netted eight saves, while Jack Ocken came in and added two.

In the afternoon session, the Brunswick water polo team easily handled Williston Northampton by outscoring them 7-0 in the first and 10-1 in the fourth quarter for the 23-9 victory.

Julian Ronda led all scorers with five goals, while Stefanou added four goals. The duo of Prout and Pierce scored three goals each, while Will Marvin, Matt Marvin and Derby grabbed two goals each. Granruth and Thacher Scannell each took home one goal.

Pang was once again stellar in net, picking up 12 saves.
