Riversville Road reopened after accident

UPDATE 10:40 A.M. — Police have said that Riversville Road is now completely open to traffic once again.

A late night accident will leave Riversville Road in Greenwich closed until after this morning’s rush hour.

Police Lt. Kraig Gray said that the accident last night caused a utility poll on Riversville Road to fall and Connecticut Light & Power is on the scene making repairs. There were no injuries suffered in the accident, but the road cannot be passed through at this point. Lt. Gray said it is closed in the area of John Street up to Bedford Road. Repairs should be completed by this afternoon, but it will impact the Wednesday morning rush hour.
