Neighbor to Neighbor thanks students for support

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

For many years on Sept. 11, the Roots & Shoots Club of Greenwich High School has organized a “One for One” food drive to benefit Neighbor to Neighbor, Greenwich’s food pantry.

Their goal is to collect one donated food item for every victim of the 9/11 attacks. Caring for our community is a wonderfully meaningful way to honor the memories of those we lost.

This food drive restocks our pantry shelves after a summer of providing much-needed groceries, including lunches for students home for the summer. We continually are impressed by the maturity and awareness expressed by our town’s students, and we at Neighbor to Neighbor wish to thank the students and their advisers for their dedication and support.
