YMCA hosts Social Security lecture

Join hosts Michael Alimo and David Weyner at the YMCA of Greenwich as they help people navigate important retirement decisions with a complimentary educational workshop.

The workshop is free and open to all on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The program is designed to provide help to Greenwich seniors and those approaching that age as they try to make sense of the financial decisions before them. According to the organizers, attendees can expect to learn about how Social Security benefits are calculated and the advanced planning required to increase them; why married couples can miss out on significant lifetime sums; special strategies for married couples, divorced individuals and minor children; and case studies that will show the advantages of some of these strategies.

The YMCA of Greenwich is at 50 East Putnam Avenue. For more information, contact Katrina Dorsey at 203-869-1630, ext. 112 or [email protected]
