Literacy Volunteers offers free ESL services and job help

Literacy Volunteers of Family Centers is providing free job skills training and English As A Second Language (ESL) courses for members of the community interested in improving their job status or learning English.

Job readiness services include computer skills training, job search strategies, career counseling and vocational support. English language classes are open to all ESL high-intermediate students.

Classes begin this month, and will be held in several locations throughout Greenwich and Stamford. Day and evening classes are also available.

Literacy Volunteers of Stamford/Greenwich offers free literacy, job skills training, English language instruction and adult education services to more than 500 Fairfield County residents each year.

Programs are facilitated by a team of more than 120 volunteers, who donate more than 14,000 volunteer hours each year. Computer classes, financial literacy services and work readiness program are also offered.
