Floren always has the state’s best interests at heart

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

I knew Livvy Floren as a friend and neighbor long before we were both elected to the Connecticut legislature, but it was during the period we served that I truly came to understand her skills and talents.

In a world too often filled with partisanship and empty rhetoric, Livvy is just the opposite. She is admired on both sides of the aisle for putting the best interests of the state first and always.

Livvy does not seek the spotlight and never speaks out just for the sake of “going on the record.” She speaks when she has something cogent to say that will make a difference.

As a member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, Livvy has a front row seat allowing her to participate in the key debates on taxation and finance. She knows how state actions can affect Greenwich and Stamford, having previously served on the Greenwich Board of Estimate and Taxation.

No one works harder keeping in touch with her constituents in both Greenwich and Stamford. She is deeply involved in our community and is a trustee or member of Audubon, Community Answers, Greenwich High PTA, Greenwich Library and the Stamford Watershed Association, just to name a few.

Thanks, Livvy, for all you do. You certainly have my vote and my unstinting support.
