Another game, another 5-0 shutout for Greenwich Academy

The Greenwich Academy field hockey team battled St. Luke’s School earlier today and came away with its second shutout in as many games, winning 5-0.

At the 29:09 mark of the first half, Tatiana Viola got the Gators on the board what an assist from Katrina Kraus. With 11:27 left in the half, it was Kraus’ turn to find the back of the cage, as she got the ball from Caroline Keller.

Exactly one minute later, Keller also got in to the scoring mix as Kraus netted her second assist of the half. Also getting her second goal of the game was Viola, as she found the back of the cage with 8:16 to play in the half. Keller and Kraus were awarded assists on Viola’s goal.

With 5:15 to play, Viola scored the hat trick on Alexa Murray’s pass.

Greenwich Academy finished with 10 penalty corner and 24 shots on goal. Julia Booth played the first half in net for GA, while Maggie Reville took care of the second half and made five saves in the winning effort.

With the victory, Greenwich Academy improved to 2-0 on the season. The Gators will be back in action Wednesday when they host Choate Rosemary Hall.
