Withers Bergman associate honored

Withers Bergman has announced that associate Marissa Dungey has been named an American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE) Fellow for the class of 2014-2016. Ms. Dungey is one of only five trust and estates fellows nationally appointed this year.

“Marissa has shown admirable dedication to both her clients and her professional development through her exceptional work and publications and we are all glad to see the ABA recognize the talent and potential we see every day,” said Todd Angkatavanich, U.S. wealth planning assignment and development co-partner at Withers Bergman. “Through the ABA RPTE Fellowship, Marissa will have the opportunity to further develop her practice and gain experience that will have a positive impact on both her own work and the firm as a whole.”

At Withers Bergman, Ms. Dungey’s practice focuses on transfer tax planning and estate planning for high net worth individuals and their families. She joined the firm in 2009 and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association and Greenwich Bar Association.

The ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Fellows Program encourages the active involvement and participation of young lawyers in section activities. The program is designed to give young lawyers an opportunity to become deeply involved in the work of the RPTE Section, while developing into future leaders.

The fellowship appointment is for two years.
