Internet outages plague Greenwich

Cablevision customers in Greenwich and the surrounding area are experiencing interruptions in both internet and cable television service.

After repeated calls to Cablevision Tuesday morning, Hersam Acorn Newspapers finally received this update from Allison Watters, director of media relations at Cablevision:

“Some Cablevision customers in Connecticut and Westchester are experiencing difficulty connecting to the Internet as a result of a technical issue. We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience to our customers.”

Ms. Watters told Hersam Acorn Newspapers that the company is not releasing any further details on what the issue is or any estimates for restoration. Please keep The Post updated on your Cablevision outage states. Check back to (if you have a smartphone or some other way to get on the Internet) for updates on service restoration.
