Greenwich Magazine ‘Fashion Day Out’ set for Sept. 13

It will be a day of shopping and community spirit in town sponsored by Greenwich Magazine at stores up and down Greenwich Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The day of shopping and strolling the avenue is designed to highlight some of Greenwich’s premier retail stores as well as build community spirit, with select stores donating a portion of the day’s profits to nonprofit organizations such as the Breast Cancer Alliance, Mothers for Others and Horizons National Student Enrichment Program.

Stores will be hosting special events, including champagne and hors d’oeuvres, gifts with purchases, great deals and meet-and-greets with experts in the fashion world. There will also be a chance to win a weekend getaway to the Mayflower Grace in Washington.

Participating stores include: Anne Fontaine, Betteridge, Christopher Noland-DO’S Salon, Joie, Letarte, Lexington Company, Longchamp, Lux Bond & Green, Manfredi, Oggi 5, Out of the Box, Richards, Roberta Roller Rabbit, Saks Fifth Avenue, Scoop NYC, Simon Teakle, Steven Alan, Steven Fox Jewelry and Wishlist.

Cristin Marandino, editor of Greenwich Magazine said, “This is going to be a wonderful day. It’s the perfect opportunity to visit fantastic stores and shop the fall fashions. And with several of the stores donating a portion of their proceeds to local charities, it’s a great way to support the community.”
