Golf outing celebrates medical research lab

The ONS Foundation for Clinical Research and Education, which is part of the Greenwich Hospital Alliance, held its fourth annual golf outing at the Stanwich Club in June, raising funds for the purchase of biomechanical testing equipment.

The event, which is the primary fund-raising vehicle for ONS, was also a celebration of the foundation’s milestone achievement: the recent completion of a new state-of-the-art arthroscopy, surgical skills and biomechanical research laboratory at 6 Greenwich Office Park on Valley Drive.

After a enjoying a buffet lunch on the clubhouse porch, 22 foursomes hit the green. Following the tournament, golfers, friends and other supporters attended the cocktail reception, auction and dinner. In attendance was New York Times best-selling author Norb Vonnegut, who served as a lively auctioneer at the event.

Golf outing sponsors included Greenwich Hospital, The Stamford Hospital Fund, Constitution Surgery Centers, Bershtein, Volpe & McKeon P.C., Greentree Toyota Scion of Danbury who provided the “hole in one” car, Insurance Exchange, Granoff Architects, XPLOR, New England Orthotics and Prosthetic Systems, Tripp Lake Camp and Camp Takajo, Horseneck Wine and Liquor, McCardles and Thomas Cleaners & Laundry.
