Floren’s common sense makes her stand out

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor

We are truly fortunate that Livvy Floren has agreed to stand again for re-election to the Connecticut General Assembly.

She has been an outstanding representative of our area who has achieved respect from the Democratic majority because of her thoughtfulness, experience and real concern for the public interest.

Livvy has been a strong advocate for the environment, especially open space and the Long Island Sound. As co-chair of the Advisory Board of the Greenwich Tree Conservancy and wise advisor to Greenwich Green & Clean and the Merritt Parkway Conservancy.

She has been an effective voice restraining utility companies from unnecessary tree removal and rate increases and obtaining cooperation from PURA and the Department of Transportation. She well deserves her endorsement by The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters.

Livvy is always available for access to assembly committees and state agencies and for advice about pending legislation. We thank Livvy for the sacrifices she makes without personal benefit to represent us in often seemingly distant Hartford where we need her “common sense.”
