Fred Astaire Ballroom Dance Studio opens

You can two-step your way to a new Greenwich dance studio as it opens its doors to those wanting to learn.

A grand opening party will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at the new Fred Astaire Ballroom Dance Studio at 36 Sherwood Place in town. Owners Greg Fidurski, Isabelle Gollwitzer and Elmar Schmidt announced the party as a way to introduce the studio and its course offerings to the public. There will be a wide range of classes for anyone who loves to dance and this event will serve as a “get to know you” introduction for anyone with happy feet.

Making use of the 36 Sherwood Place location, there is a studio on the second floor and it will offer lessons to beginners as well as advanced students. Both singles and couples can partake in instruction that covers all smooth and American rhythm dances as well as international-style. Group lessons and practice parties will also be offered.

Admission to Saturday’s opening party is free and will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Reservations are requested by calling 203-340-2760.
