Senior Center plans trip to ‘Oz’

The Greenwich Senior Center will host a trip to the Westchester Broadway Theater on Thursday, Sept. 11 to see The Wizard of Oz.

This musical has been called an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, the show contains all the beloved songs from the Oscar-winning movie score like Over The Rainbow, Ding, Dong, The Witch Is Dead, If I Only Had A Brain, We’re Off To See The Wizard and The Merry Old Land Of Oz.

So fans of munchikins and wicked witches can click their heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts’ desires.

Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you re-discover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for the whole family. Buses will leave at 10:15 a.m. and are scheduled to return around 4:30 p.m. The trip costs $65 per person, which includes a three-course luncheon, all gratuities and the bus trip.
