‘Ice’ to see you

On a warm summer night, a dousing of cold water doesn’t seem so bad…until you actually have to endure it. But endure is exactly what State Rep. Fred Camillo did last week at the St. Catherine’s Carnival of Fun as he accepted the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The challenge is  done to benefit the fight against ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, a fatal progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, robbing people of their motor skills. Mr. Camillo is just one of several  residents to take part in the challenge as he feels the icy rush courtesy of Evan Weigold as his faithful four-legged companion Rudy looks on. This week Post editor Ken Borsuk endured the challenge from sports editor Paul Silverfarb and made a challenge of his own to the Greenwich Board of Selectmen. Check out for video and go to for information about how to donate to the charity.
