The Parkway School held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their pollinator garden June 9.

The PTA installed the garden, aided by the Sam Bridge Nursery, and now it will be overseen by the Audubon of Greenwich.

With the opening of the garden, Parkway is the first school in Greenwich to implement a school yard habitat community, becoming a US wildlife and fisheries habitat.

The garden was dedicated in memory of Parkway student Dana Marella. During the ceremony the school community sang songs, and fifth-grader Marika Kassaris shared a poem she wrote with the audience.
