Police Watch [8/5–8/12]

Police do not release the names of those 17 years old and younger because they are protected as juveniles or youthful offenders. The Post does not publish the names of those arrested in domestic violence incidents to protect the identities of the victims. The following are this week’s arrests:

DUI

Danielle Janicki, 29, of Bronx, N.Y. was arrested for driving while under the influence and failure to drive right Aug. 1 on an active warrant. Police obtained blood samples from the accused via search warrant in June in relation to a motor vehicle accident. The samples allegedly showed her to have a blood alcohol content at the time of the accident, and she was subsequently arrested. The accused was released on $5,000 surety bond, and assigned a court date of Aug. 15 at the Stamford Superior Court.

DUI

Joyce Mazur, 52, of Norwalk was arrested Aug. 6 for with driving while under the influence and failure to drive properly. Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at 55 Railroad Avenue, where the accused displayed signs of intoxication. After allegedly refusing to submit to field sobriety tests, Mazur was placed under arrest. She was later released on $250 bond and was due in court Aug. 13.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

A 32-year-old Greenwich man and a 39-year-old woman were issued misdemeanor summons for breach of peace Aug. 6. According to police, the woman was attempting to gain access to the man’s apartment by banging excessively on the door. When the man opened the door he attempted to physically prevent her from entering the apartment, resulting in her hand being caught in the door, and his shirt being pulled over his head. They were both released on the scene and assigned a family violence court date of Aug. 7.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE

Jkwon Roney, 23, of Brooklyn, N.Y. was arrested on Aug. 6 as a fugitive from justice in relation to a felony warrant issued by the Tarrant County Sherrif’s Office in Fort Worth, Texas. Police detained the accused after responding to a report of potentially fraudulent bank activity at the Bank of America on Sound Beach Avenue. The warrant instructed police to hold the accused without bond. Roney was due at Stamford Superior Court Aug. 13.

DUI

Natanael Lima, 35, of 35 Valley Road was arrested Aug. 2 for driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, driving while under the influence and failure to drive right. Police patroling the area of Post Road observed the accused’s vehicle mounting the curbline while attempting to turn onto Nassau Place. During a motor vehicle stop, Lima allegedly displayed glassy eyes and an odor associated with the consumption of alcohol. She allegedly failed sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. She was due in court Aug. 11 after posting her $250 bond.
