On Saturday morning, around 90 swimmers took to the waters for competition in the annual Island Beach Two-Mile Swim in Greenwich.

The overall winner of the event was 53-year-old Craig Nadel, who conquered the course with a time of 35:31. Second overall was Joshua Glantz, as the 47-year-old crossed the finish line with a time of 37:39. Not to be outdone was 47-year-old Greg Sargeant, as he took third on the day posting a time of 37:48.

In the women’s division, Morgan Scarth took top honors, as the 20-year-old finished the course with a time of 39:44. Second in the women’s division was 27-year-old Erin Morrison, ending her race with a time of 40:19. Not far behind was Brie Campell, as the 20-year-old grabbed the bronze and a time of 40:32.

The event was sponsored by the Town of Greenwich and the Greenwich Swim Committee.
