Calling all singers for Summer Sings

Do you miss singing in your church choir during the summer months? Then join Summer Sings! at First Congregational Church of Greenwich.

Come as you are on Wednesday, July 30, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and share an energized rehearsal and an instant performance of Rutter’s Requiem (chamber version with instruments) with soloist Hanna Golodinskii, soprano. Music will be provided and hospitality, refreshments and fun are all included.

There is no sign-up necessary and people are required to only come ready to sing. There is, however, a suggested minimum donation of $5 per person.

The performance will be held in the air conditioned meetinghouse of The First Congregational Church at 108 Sound Beach Avenue, across from Binney Park in Old Greenwich. Non-singers are also welcome to enjoy the evening.

Craig Scott Symons, director of music and organist at First Church, will lead the choir, accompanied by Alistair Reid, director of music at St. Joseph Church in Manhattan and former assistant musician at Christ Church Greenwich.

The last Summer Sings! of the season will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27, featuring Handel’s Zadok the Priest and Haydn’s Te Deum in C.
