More than 500 prospective students and parents attended Greenwich Education Group’s fifth annual Boarding School Fair May 20.

Attendees from New York City and Fairfield, Westchester, Putnam and New Haven countries arrived at Chelsea Piers CT in Stamford to speak to 100 admissions directors from different schools.

“I loved seeing so many schools under one roof,” one parent attendee said. “Admissions people from the different schools were very approachable and eager to speak with you about their schools.”

Victoria Newman and Muffy Fox, Co-Directors of Day and Boarding School Advisory Services at Greenwich Education Group, note that choosing the right independent or boarding school is a decision that can carry lifelong implications. The Boarding School Fair offers families an efficient way to learn about the different characteristics of a variety of boarding schools.

The fair was first held in 2010, when an inspired Ms. Newman saw a need for boarding schools to effectively reach out to a new group of potential students, and for parents and students to be able to efficiently learn about and compare schools’ offerings.

The fair was sponsored by Chelsea Piers CT and Moffly Media.
