Old Greenwich Fine Wines opens

After a six-month remodeling process, the space near the Rummage Room and Upper Crust Bagel shop in Old Greenwich at 195 Sound Beach Avenue has been transformed into the newly opened Old Greenwich Fine Wines.

Owner Robert Zalkin took over the space from AOC Wines, creating a fresh, welcoming environment. The store carries all types of wine at a variety of price points, and stocks liquor and beer as well.

“We created a one-stop shop and carry a huge selection. If we don’t already have it in stock we’ll special order it for you,” Mr. Zalkin said.

Old Greenwich resident Rob Petz will serve as manager, and looks forward to helping customers with free wine tastings. “We are excited to offer free wine tastings every day and give customers the opportunity to taste eight featured wines every time they come in,” he said.

Each item carried in the store is handpicked by the staff, meaning that Old Greenwich Fine Wines will be constantly introducing new and rare selections in addition to classic brands. The store provides free delivery and offers free individualized wine profiles to keep track of customer favorites.

Customers are also encouraged to donate to charity, with one percent of their purchase being donated to the charity of their choosing on their behalf.
