Dawson knows ‘Black Sheep’

Typically when you hear the term “black sheep” you want to avoid it, but that’s not the case at all with the new digital marketing agency Black Sheep Knows as it opens in southern Connecticut

Calling itself Connecticut’s newest comprehensive digital marketing agency, Black Sheep Knows serves small to medium-sized businesses in the region. The new firm was created and launched by Greenwich native and Air Force veteran Michael Dawson, who is president, and Michael Kennedy, who is vice president.

“Businesses are very confused about how to market themselves, with new choices and possibilities that emerge every day. As young entrepreneurs, we are looking to assist these businesses in identifying the most efficient and effective strategies for their market,” Mr. Dawson said.

Black Sheep Knows currently employs five-team members, each with a unique specialization.

“By limiting the size of our team, we’re able to reduce our overhead,” Mr. Dawson said. “In turn, this lowers prices for our customers, while maintaining quality.”

Mr. Kennedy added, “While traditional marketing methods like print advertising campaigns and direct mail can still be valuable, new trends are shifting to techniques such as digital media buying, social media, and blog/website development. Without the use of these services to generate impressions, businesses are losing thousands of potential clients.”
