If ‘little liars’ are the new standard then it’s not pretty

I recently parked my van while pondering the ever-increasing wrongs of our world, and I viewed a cute looking and fit mother and daughter parked in a handicapped zone.

There are missiles flying, maiming and killing and children are rounded up at our borders and here are these two setting a fine example for us all. I’m the broken record asking “Where’s the ethics and ideals?” as I see the world getting worse.

I continually ask where are the fair, righteously-minded Americans that helped found our great nation. Yet, I get no reply, for today’s life style is dictated by high tech and the media. It’s geared towards a self-centered focus and I shudder to think what our society will be like. I ask repeatedly for our leaders to make efforts to get along. Without rightful practices what will happen?

I recently discovered a new TV show, Pretty Little Liars. God, what slick self-centered caca about high school girls and their bizarre situations. I asked a high school kid about the show and she told me they’re based on books.

So, great, the Hardy Boys of yesteryears are replaced by bisexual, self-centered “me girls,” and this is condoned. No wonder people ignore the wrongs.

It was care that used to drive our lives. I remember being taught to always care about doing your best in everything, from work to relationships, and to always value all contacts, whether personal, business or inanimate. I always did my best to be fair and care about the process and the end results.

That’s not how it is today and it’s no wonder that there’s no reaction to my complaints about what happened to my parents at Greenwich Hospital and Connecticut Health of Greenwich, or what happened to all my encouraged efforts in Greenwich from the 70s up to the Greenwich Point Conservancy and Tesei.

What this town has cost me can never be recouped and I now wonder after discovering Pretty Little Liars if lies and denials are not now just part of the new norm before the days of reckoning.
