Greenwich gives

According to organizers, the annual Salvation Army and Town of Greenwich food drive was another big success. Alison Brush, the town’s Department of Social Services community gift coordinator, said that it brought in a “ton of food” and she’s only slightly exaggerating as it’s estimated 2,000 pounds of food were donated to go to the Neighbor to Neighbor food pantry and the Social Services household and emergency “food closets.” Additionally, more than $2,800 was raised by town employee Craig Whitcomb who had an anonymous donor willing to match everything he raised.
