After days of rain, the weather couldn’t have been better for Greenwich’s annual fireworks festivities this past weekend.

While bad weather forced postponements throughout the state, Greenwich lucked out since it had always scheduled the fireworks display for Saturday night. And it was a great day for residents young and old to turn out to celebrate the Fourth of July and enjoy the town’s show. As has been the case in recent years there were fireworks at both Greenwich Point, allowing boats in Long Island Sound to see, and Binney Park in Old Greenwich.

Post photographer John Ferris Robben was at the scene and this is a slideshow of some of his most impressive work from the explosive night of color and patriotic celebration.
