Ribbon cutting ceremony to open Greenwich’s Christiano courts

On Wednesday, June 25 at 5:00 p.m., the Town of Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation will host the official re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly resurfaced Christiano Courts, located at 25 Lyon Avenue.

These are the first multi-racket sport courts in Greenwich and include official pickleball lines in addition to tennis.

After a few words and the ribbon cutting, the celebration will include a pickleball demonstration and an opportunity to play on the new courts. Anyone wishing to play on these and other public courts must obtain a 2014 Tennis Pass or be the guest of a resident and pay the guest fee. Resident seniors may use their Senior Park Pass.

For additional information on obtaining a Tennis Pass, court reservations, or opportunities for playing tennis or pickleball, contact the Recreation Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation or visit Greenwichct.org.
