Restoration Hardware’s ‘commitment to the environment’ only goes so far where catalogs are concerned

Trumpeting on its cover sheet about, “Our commitment to the environment,” and “We’ve taken steps to be more responsible stewards of the planet,” Restoration Hardware recently delivered to us by UPS an unsolicited 14-pound plastic-encased package of “source books.”

That’s four lifestyle and nine category books in a single package.

But fortunately it explained that the  books’ “forest certified” paper is recyclable because we promptly chucked our “collection” into the recycling bin, as did many of our friends.
